Chocolate Peanut Butter Layer Cake

If I drop one more Wilton decorating tip down the garbage disposal, my husband is going to leave me.  I know it.  He hasn't said as much, but I can feel it in his long-suffering sighs.  If only there were some way I could repay him...

There is, but it didn't happen today!  This Peanut Butter Chocolate Layer Cake was for a co-worker's birthday and I took the entire thing to work!  He and I are alike in our passion for all things peanut butter and chocolate, so it was no hardship for me to bake this rich cake to celebrate his day of awesomeness.

This recipe came from Annie's Eats (of course) and her recipe for this chocolate cake is so moist and dense it's like a yummy fudge!  The peanut butter frosting is mixed with homemade whipped cream which gives it a lighter texture and has a rich peanut butter flavor without being too heavy.

I made no adjustments to her recipe, so I'll direct you to her wonderful blog for the ingredients and instructions!  She explains it perfectly and has great cooking and decorating tips!
