Amaretto Fruit Dip

Amaretto, Cool Whip and vanilla pudding powder.  Those are the ingredients to this magical fruit dip.  This is my Grandma Price's recipe and I gotta hand it to you Grandma, this is sinfully delicious!  The fruit is merely the vessel that brings this goodness to my lips.  You could also use a spoon, I suppose.  Or a finger.

The only thing I tweaked in Grandma's recipe was to double the Amaretto.  If my memory serves me correctly, she used 1/4 cup.  I use 1/2.  Every time I serve this recipe people think it's whipped butter.  Yes, it has the consistency and color, but who serves whipped butter with grapes and strawberries?  Honestly!

Amaretto Fruit Dip

1 small container Cool Whip, thawed
1 small box instant vanilla pudding
1/2 cup amaretto

Combine powdered vanilla pudding and amaretto in medium bowl and whisk until all lumps are gone and mixture is completely smooth.

Add Cool Whip and stir until all streaks are gone and dip is uniform in color.  Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, overnight if needed.  Serve with your favorite fruit; I use green grapes, strawberries, and sometimes cantaloupe if it's in season.

1 small container Cool Whip, thawed
1 small box instant vanilla pudding
PANTRY STAPLES
1/2 cup amaretto (in MY house it is...)
