These were my first Martha cupcakes, and they were surprisingly tasty. I thought they sounded bland, (a boring white cupcake with chocolate chips in it? Eh.) but the batter tasted like a thinner version of real cookie dough! Once they cooked, they were wonderfully light and fluffy. The dark chocolate frosting was the perfect compliment, tasting like softly melted chocolate chips.

Ever since I made the Apple Tarts, I've been dreaming up ways to make new fun-filled pastries. I had ingredients on-hand to make these Strawberry Tarts filled with a strawberry cream cheese filling, using my favorite homemade pie crust recipe from Annie's Eats.

When we lost power during Hurricane Ike, it was truly a hardship to go through and eat everything in the freezer within several days. And by "hardship" I mean "really good time."
The ice cream was gone in the first night while we huddled around a battery powered radio as the winds howled around our house. The next morning day, we started on the frozen bucket of margaritas and the slowly defrosting meats.
Thankfully I had a gas stove and we were able to combine our defrosted chicken with chorizo in a skillet and we served it just like that on tortillas. The chorizo gave the chicken plenty of moisture and flavor without needing to add anything else. Honestly, I think it was the best meal we ate for a week. That may or may not have had anything to do with how much of the bucket of margaritas had been consumed.

I'm a big fan of Buffalo Wings, but only if they don't have bones. So maybe I'm just a fan of chicken, buffalo sauce, and ranch. Which probably explains why I can eat this dip by the handful. It's a super simple recipe that is totally adjustable to your taste.

These are hands-down my favorite dessert to make in a pinch. Cream cheese is my only essential food group, and I'm desperately in love with this crispy, sugary, cinnamon topping. Not to mention, this is CRAZY easy to make. I almost hate telling you.
